The basic goal of Empower It Forward is to spark a love for helping others through simple giving. In the attempt to do such, several projects have been undertaken to inspire and greatly impact the community. For example, in 2010 I started a "Dollar A Day Campaign" where each month the mission was (and continues to be) to save $1 a day and at the end of the month donate the saved money to a reputable organization, cause or charity. Each month, the movement is growing in it's capacity of giving - for example this past Valentine's Day the goal was to make Valentines for patients of a local Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. It's accomplishing goals like these that give "Empower It Forward" the momentum to encourage others to give to their surrounding communities. Also during the month of February I was able to "Empower It Forward" to three Teach For America classrooms in North Carolina, Atlanta and New Orleans - shipping a box of school supplies to each classroom for the betterment of our youth and students.
